Functional Skills

This page has been prepared to help with the basics of working in the digital industry as well as support you with your functional skills. The term functional skills refers to skills that any organisation would reasonably expect a professional person to do, regardless of the industry they work in; such as:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Speaking and Listening
  • Simple maths
  • The use of basic IT systems, such as email, internet and office tools.

All of these lessons have been made to embed functional skills and to help you to prepare for your functional skills exams.
